The Geeks in Educational Technology Services have a cool new tech toy to show you! MHC now has a SWIVL unit that faculty and staff are free to borrow for capturing lectures, as well as guest speakers with hands free remote video recording and the ability to automatically track the presenter as they walk around the room. In this brief demonstration you will see how easy it is to pair the SWIVL base with any mobile device.

Shared Outlook calendars are beneficial for groups of people who need to coordinate schedules and effectively organize meeting times. In this session, both PC and Mac users will be introduced to calendar sharing and how to use the “Scheduling Assistant” to schedule meetings without sharing your calendar.
Just-in-Time Teaching (JiTT) is a teaching and learning strategy designed to promote the use of class time for more active learning. JiTT uses a feedback loop that encourages students to take responsibility for their learning, and this session covers the JiTT model and how to integrate formative assessment strategies into teaching practice.
